OG Data LLC · Fractional K–12 Data & Integration Engineering
That space shouldn't consume your IT team. OG Data helps school districts troubleshoot integrations, automate recurring data work, improve reliability, and strengthen the data infrastructure behind everyday operations.
The Problem
A change in the SIS ripples outward — identity, rostering, vendor platforms, reporting, state systems, staff workflows. Somewhere in that chain, things get manual, fragile, or nobody fully trusts the result. A few examples of what that can look like:
Not every district runs into all of these — but these are common examples of where the operational gaps can show up.
What OG Data Helps With
Integrate
SIS, vendor platforms, rostering, identity/provisioning, APIs, SFTP, and file-based integrations.
Automate
Turn recurring manual exports, uploads, spreadsheet work, and reconciliation into dependable processes.
Engineer
Improve pipelines, SQL/data infrastructure, reliability, monitoring, and data quality — in established district environments and modern analytics platforms alike.
Advise
District-side technical perspective for architecture decisions, vendor integration feasibility, and modernization planning.
Engagement Examples
Diagnose and stabilize a broken, unreliable, or poorly understood integration.
Turn recurring exports, uploads, file transfers, spreadsheet work, and reconciliation into reliable automated workflows.
Evaluate what a proposed vendor integration actually requires — identifiers, fields, delivery method, cadence, security, ownership, and long-term maintenance.
Experienced engineering capacity for districts with recurring integration and data work that doesn't justify another full-time hire.
These are examples of how engagements typically begin, not fixed packages. Depending on what a district needs, work can also extend into identity/provisioning automation or state-reporting and data-reconciliation workflows.
Legacy to Modern
Oscar's background spans traditional district environments — SQL Server, SSIS, SQL Server Agent, stored procedures, file-based integrations, SFTP, SSRS — and modern analytics-engineering environments, including BigQuery and dbt.
OG Data isn't in the business of moving everything to the cloud. The goal is the simplest maintainable architecture that actually solves the district's problem — whether that means repairing what exists or introducing something new.
District-Side Perspective
For 13+ years, Oscar worked inside a K–12 school district's data and IT operations — including maintaining and operating systems, some of which were originally designed and built by outside consultants.
That experience points to a simple principle: a solution isn't successful if the district can't reliably operate it after the consultant leaves. OG Data is built around that principle — clear documentation, a realistic handoff, and solutions a district's own team can actually run.
Founder
Founder, OG Data LLC
13+ years of K–12 district data and IT experience as a Database Analyst, followed by current Data Scientist and analytics-engineering work at UC Riverside — including BigQuery, dbt, and modern data infrastructure. That combination brings modern data engineering together with someone who has actually operated district data systems from the inside.

If staff are repeatedly downloading, uploading, copying, reconciling, troubleshooting, or repairing the same data process, there may be a more reliable way to do it.
